One of the most popular articles on this website is one I wrote about my experience with remote viewing, a trainable ‘psychic skill’ that anyone can learn to use.

Like I said in that blog post, I have gone through almost every single remote viewing product and book available. Some of them are good, and some of them are not so good.

I linked to some of the other good RV training products in that blog post, but this is one that I found to be a little bit different from the rest.

Because this system is a little different from the rest, it sticks out to me as something of value. It’s called The Complete Remote Viewing Training System by Gerald O’Donnell of the Academy of Remote Viewing And Remote Influencing (ARVARI).

There are plenty of training programs out there to learn from, and many of them are great products, but the reason I recommend this particular set is because I find it encapsulates the true essence of what remote viewing is for me.

Although RV was developed by the military for the military, this system takes a slightly different approach in that Gerald O’Donnell includes a very metaphysical and spiritual component to his training program. Most of the other training programs out there are reflective of the fact that this skill that is known as “Remote Viewing” was developed by the military. The training programs often lack an emotional, spiritual, and metaphysical component and focus strictly on structure, form, and ‘following orders’ as you would expect if you were being trained by the military.

The strict approach of the military style training is definitely beneficial in many ways, and should not be overlooked, but you can get that style of training from most of the other RV training courses, while the ARVARI training program stands out from the rest because it is slightly different in its approach.

To become an adept remote viewer I would not recommend that anyone choose only one source for information and training and stick with it, I would recommend that you take in as much information from as many sources as you can so that you can come to understand what remote viewing is for you. I do, however, believe that it’s important not to forget about the spiritual and metaphysical aspects of the remote viewing process. That is why I am recommending this particular training package on my blog.

What is Remote Viewing?

Remote Viewing is a trainable skill that was developed by the US Army Intelligence for spying on enemies, and in the 90′s some of the documents about this top secret program were made available to the public, and shortly after that there were training programs being offered by members of the original military programs that developed the skill and narrowed it down to somewhat of a science.

To sum it up briefly, there is a highly structured process and set of protocols that one must follow over and over and over again until the process becomes almost robotic and boring. Once you have got to the point of nearly robotic remote viewing sessions, many of the perceptions that the viewer has while completing the ‘session’ will be an accurate description of whatever the viewer’s target is.

For example, if your target is a rocket ship, the viewer may come up with words that describe a rocket ship such as long, pointed, flying, round, fire, fast, and so on. The thing is, sometimes the impressions can be completely misleading to the analytical mind and the viewer may jump to the conclusion that his target is a rocket ship when it turns out that the target was actually a dart. This is why tons of practice is needed to quiet the analytical mind during the session so as to avoid what remote viewers call “analytical overlay”.

The set of protocols and remote viewing procedures are fairly simple to do, and anyone can learn this skill. But it is much like any other skill in that some people are better at it than others. Anyone can learn to play the piano, but not everyone is a gifted concert pianist, although almost anyone can become one with enough practice and dedication. Remote viewing is similar to that in how the skill may be developed.

Why Learn Remote Viewing?

For me, learning remote viewing was not so much about being able to describe distant places, things, or events, as it was about discovering myself and the true nature of consciousness and it’s relationship with the universe. It helped me to become a happier and healthier person, and contributed greatly to my spiritual development over the last few years.

I think that the greatest benefit of learning remote viewing has been the spiritual development and realizations that come with the training. The skill itself is not always that reliable, so don’t think you’re going to learn RV and then become a millionaire on the stock market or win the lottery, because it just doesn’t seem to work that way. The real prize is how remote viewing allows you to peer deeply inside yourself and discover your true nature as a human being.
