It’s been a strange couple days. Today will have both Day 9 and Day 10 posts because I am late writing Day 9.
Day 9 I started by eating a pear while writing day 8′s blog post. As I mentioned, there was a dance party going on upstairs last night and I planned to attend but not drink any booze. I succeeded at that without much trouble. I drank water with lime all night and had a good time dancing with some great friends. It was kind of nice that not too many people showed up, it was comfortable and friendly and I had a good time without any booze.
I made this salad before going upstairs to join the dance:
The ingredients included:
- 1 bag Dole Country Harvest Salad mix (260g)
- 2 handfuls baby spinach
- 3 mini cukes
- 1 package blueberries (170g)
- 8 cherry tomatoes (20g each)
- Dill dressing from yesterday
The salad dressing started making me feel queasy a little over half way through the salad. I had to stop eating it because I was feeling too much nausea. I put the salad away and made myself a smoothie because I was still hungry. I made a smoothie with pineapple, strawberries, EnerHealth Green Energy Superfood, and EnerHealth Coconut Milk Powder. This smoothie went down easy and gave me a good energy boost for the rest of the dance party. After the smoothie I switched to drinking water with fresh lime for the rest of the night.
I was hungry again about an hour after finishing that smoothie, so I ate the rest of the pineapple I had in the fridge, a mandarin orange, and 2 bananas.
Still later on I put a bunch of chili pepper spice and lime juice on some cashews and munched on some chili-lime cashews for a while. At the end of the dance party I ate an apple and another mandarin.
I felt happy, healthy, and energetic all through the dance party and enjoyed explaining a little bit more about my diet to some of the friends who haven’t had a chance to hear about my little experiment yet. All of my good friends are now starting to seem very supportive of what I’m doing and have been encouraging me to keep it up. Many of them commented on how impressed they are by my self-discipline to make it even this far into the trial. Everyone is also saying that I look quite skinny. I agree with them, the weight loss is definitely noticeable. I’m finally shedding these dreaded manboobs.
When the dance party finally came to a close I retired downstairs for some rest, but I didn’t get a whole lot of quality rest. I’ll explain the rest in my next post because by this time it was already day 10.
