Today’s post is a bit late and it’s going to be quick.

Day 8 was weird for a few reasons. After the smoothie I drank on day 7 I had tons of energy and couldn’t sleep. I stayed up all morning and into the day. I normally go to bed around 8-10 am (I work nightshifts, remember?) but I stayed up until about 3pm. I’m sure it was the evolution superfood smoothie that kept me up so late. I spent most of that time working on the recommended products section on this website and I also did a bit of work on my other website, aBraveNewsWorld. I got quite a bit done during my escape from dreamland but it sure messed up day 8.

I went to bed around 3:30pm and then woke up at about 7pm when a friend came over to wake me up for the night. When I got up I was super tired and just wanted to sleep, but I got up anyway. After only about 3 and a half hours of sleep I didn’t have much energy at all. I ate a banana and 1 mandarin and I went and got a booster juice with bananas, guava, pineapple, no yogurt. I also had a fresh shot of wheatgrass juice with it. After this I wasn’t as tired.

I snacked on some pistachios (150g) and dried fruit (160g) a while later while making a salad.

The salad was made of:

  • 2 handfuls organic baby greens
  • 2 mini cukes
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 lime (squeezed)

The dressing I made:

  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 3/4 cup water
  • a bunch of fresh dill to taste
  • 1/2 lime (squeezed)

The salad was good. The dressing could also be used on veggies like carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. It was quite good, I really like the flavor of this dressing/dip.

The salad was kind of small but it filled me up for a brief while. I went to bed early because I was pretty tired still from the short amount of sleep earlier. I got up a few hours later and was hungry so I ate about 250g strawberries and another 2 mandarins and went back to bed. I slept a LONG time this time. I got up at about 5pm which is around a normal time for me working nights, but I was in bed way earlier than normal!

I feel refreshed now as I write this though. I guess it’s now technically day 9 and I’m writing about day 8. The whole nightshift sleeping pattern is a little confusing sometimes..

So tonight on day 9 there is a dance party going on upstairs. It’s beginning now and as it stands I plan on not drinking any alcohol even though everyone else will be. I am planning on taking a bunch of vitamin B-12, eating a big salad with bluberries in it, and maybe having a smoothie with EnerHealth’s Green Energy Superfood in it. I might take a big of ginseng too, we’ll see how it goes… Wish me luck! :)

I found the charger to my camera so I will hopefully be able to take some pics of the salad I am going to make as soon as I’m finished writing this. If I get pictures I will add them to day 9′s post.

I feel great again tonight, this diet is definitely energizing and motivating. I can dig it.
