I just came across this after noticing exactly the same phenomenon. I'm currently in the midst of an elimination diet to try to see if I had a food allergy or intolerance problem, so am having no dairy, no soy, no gluten, no sugar, no nuts, no eggs, no processed foods, etc. ...But a couple of times a day, I am eating a more-likely-to-be-hypoallergenic meat (lean fish, chicken breast, turkey breast, lamb, etc.) as my main source of protein. ...And I feel AWFUL afterward. I've got terrible acid reflux, and I'm exhausted. I had never equated this because I had all the other foods mixed in in the past. But the longer I go and the more different combinations I try, the more convinced I become that it's the meat that's to blame. Nice to see I'm not alone...
