A lot of people make “new year’s resolutions”, I don’t usually do that. I think it’s kind of cheesy, but this year I am going to set a few goals for 2010. I’ve decided that setting goals is a good thing after realizing that if you never set any goals you will never accomplish any either.
In 2010 I want to fix my back pain. I injured my back at work about 4 years ago and it has hurt ever since. Over the last few weeks I had to sleep on a couch until my new bed was delivered. The regular back pain that I experience every day was multiplied by about 5 because of the unfavorable sleeping conditions. My right leg also started to go tingly and numb when sitting for more than a few minutes which is a sure sign of sciatica. During this time I had several moments where the pain was nearly crippling after standing up from a sitting position. This pushed me to begin doing some serious research into how to cure back pain. This year you will see some posts about my progress and any discoveries I make while finding the appropriate solution for my sciatic back pain. I will also note that my new bed has since arrived, and my back has been feeling only the every day back pain which I have had for the last 4 years or so.
In 2010 I want to make money online. I want to make at least enough money to cover the costs of hosting this website. This goal will involve me doing different experiments with advertising and product recommendations and any other opportunities that come my way. This goal also involves whoever is reading my website. For me to make money online, the people who read this website need to click on ads, and they need to buy products from the my recommended products section or the links in some of my posts which lead to affiliate websites which pay me commissions on products that viewers buy from them. All of the products that I recommend are the highest quality and I only promote products on Exploring Infinity that I use myself or have used in the past and that I think will benefit the people who read this website. So please, if you are interested in any of the products that I link to please give them a try. If you have questions about them you can ask me about them in the comments section of the post that links to it and I will answer any questions you may have about them. I also need to increase the traffic to this website substantially if I am to make any money, so please send your friends to any posts you think they might like, and post them on digg, delicious, stumble upon, facebook, myspace, and whatever other social networking sites that you use.
The 3rd goal for 2010 is to increase my overall health. I am going to do this mainly by eating a healthier diet and include more raw foods. I may even try to eat a completely raw food diet for a month this year and see how I feel about it after I have given it a test. I have read so many great things about a raw food diet, but I usually can’t stand the people talking about it. I must admit, many of the “vegans” I have met are pretentious wieners that annoy the piss out of me, but that doesn’t mean they are wrong. I will never call myself a “vegan” even if I was one. That term just screams “wiener” to me. Sorry if I offend any vegans who read this, it’s a generalization but that’s how I feel. I love eating meat, and have no problem admitting I eat some pretty bad stuff sometimes. I once ate 4 Big Macs in one sitting. (barf) But in 2010 I am going to eat healthier, I made some significant improvements to my health in 2009 and I am only going to continue that into 2010.
My last goal for 2010 is to create new experiences. I want to try new things this year and experiment with reality more. I want to push the boundaries of my comfort zone and even move outside of my comfort zone completely at times. Life is no fun if you don’t try new things. Let the fun begin!
